Initial Setup Process

VPNHV Connection Guide for Beginners

Follow the steps in order, from creating an account to confirming that the connection works. Each step focuses only on what you need at that point; route fundamentals, billing decisions, and advanced troubleshooting are covered separately in the service selection guide.

Create an Account and Open the User Panel

Start by opening the VPNHV account creation page. No email address is required: choose a memorable username and set a password you plan to use long term. The username is used to sign in to the user panel, while the password protects your plans, orders, and subscription details. Do not reuse it on other websites or share either item with anyone.

After submission, you will enter the user panel. If the page returns to the login screen, sign in with the username and password you just created. Once inside, check that the top menu or sidebar includes options such as “Account Overview,” “Buy a Plan,” and “Download Client.” Your account is now ready, but you do not yet have an active subscription; choose a plan based on your actual usage next.

If the page says the username is already taken, submit again with an easy-to-distinguish name. If the password does not pass the checks, adjust its length or character combination as instructed. This page will not ask for additional contact details or collect account information through links outside the page.

Review Your Usage

Choose a Plan and Order from the Panel

On the plans page, first decide whether you need monthly service or a data package that lasts until the allowance is used. Monthly plans include ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB; the allowance resets monthly from the activation date. These plans suit consistent, ongoing usage.

Data packages include ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB. They remain available until the allowance is used and never expire. They suit irregular usage when you want to keep unused data for later. Do not rely on the plan name alone—check the allowance, billing method, and final displayed amount.

After choosing a plan, click “Start Using” or “Choose This Plan” on its card to open the order flow in the user panel. Confirm that the order matches your selection, then pay using an available method such as Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT. All plans support unlimited devices, but simultaneous connections still share the total allowance, so choose based on overall usage.

After payment, do not create another order immediately. Return to the account overview and refresh the subscription status until the panel shows the current plan and available data. VPNHV offers a 60-day no-questions-asked refund; if you need a refund, submit a ticket through the user panel and keep your order details available for verification.

Get Your Configuration

Get Your Subscription from the Account Overview

Once the plan is active, open the account overview in the user panel. The subscription section shows your current data, plan status, and import options for clients. Use the panel’s buttons to copy the subscription or select the import method for your client. Your subscription is linked to your account and should only be used on your own devices.

A subscription link is usually a long address. Use the copy button beside it in the panel to avoid missing characters at either end. To illustrate the format, this guide can only show an obviously invalid example, such as:

https://example.com/sub?token=YOUR_TOKEN

The address above cannot be used to connect and is not VPNHV’s actual subscription address. Get the real configuration from the user panel after signing in. Do not paste subscription data into search boxes, public documents, or group chats, because anyone who obtains it may be able to access the route configuration associated with the account.

If the subscription option does not appear in the account overview, first check that the order is complete, then refresh the page. If it still does not appear, open the ticket area from the panel and describe the order status and message shown. After getting the subscription, install the client for your system and import it.

Follow the Steps for Your System

Import into Clients on Each Platform

Client downloads are available in the user panel. Sign in, open “Download Client,” and get the VPNHV client or installation instructions for your system. This page does not provide static installer links and does not require software from unknown sources. After installation, import the subscription you obtained in the previous step.

Windows

After opening the Windows client, look for “Subscription Management,” “Add Subscription,” or “Import Configuration” in the main window, sidebar, or top menu. Open that section, paste the subscription copied from the account overview into the address field, give it a recognizable name, and confirm the addition.

Wait for the client to finish updating and for the full route list to appear. If the list remains empty, return to subscription management, check that the address is complete, and run a manual update. Once routes appear, leave advanced rules unchanged and use the default connection mode for the next step.

macOS

In macOS, the subscription option is usually found in the menu bar icon, app settings, or configuration management page. Choose an option such as “Import from URL,” paste the content from the user panel, and save it. The first network connection may trigger a permission prompt; verify the app name and follow the system instructions.

After a successful import, the client will show regions and route names. If you see only the subscription name without any routes, use the configuration menu to update it. When the list has loaded, return to the client home screen and prepare to connect through a nearby region.

Android

Open the Android client download section from the user panel and install it. In the client, look for “Add,” “Import from Link,” or an add control in the top-right corner of the configuration page. Paste in the subscription and confirm. On first launch, the system will ask for permission to establish a VPN connection; the client cannot handle network traffic until you approve it.

After the subscription finishes updating, select a route from the region list, then return to the home screen and connect. If the import reports an unrecognized format, copy the subscription from the panel again. Do not add spaces or explanatory text before or after the address.

iOS

Use the user panel to find the current iOS client. After installing it, open the app and choose to add a subscription by link from the subscription, configuration, or remote file page. Paste the subscription from the account overview and save it. The system will ask to allow a VPN configuration; confirm through the system flow before connecting.

After the configuration loads, open the route selection page and confirm that the region list appears. If the app does not update automatically, refresh it from the subscription details. Then return to the home screen and use the default mode for the first test; consider split tunneling and other advanced settings only after the connection works.

Choose a Route

Choose a Region and Connect

Once the route list has loaded, begin testing with a nearby region. Nearby regions generally offer a shorter network path. For stable logins, ongoing conversations, or extended work sessions, consider routes marked IEPL. Relay routes can balance coverage and connection stability, while direct routes provide an alternative for different network environments.

After selecting a route, return to the client home screen and click the connection control. Wait until the system status changes from disconnected to connected or encrypted before opening the target website or app. Do not switch routes repeatedly while the client still shows Connecting; the old connection may not have closed, preventing the new one from starting immediately.

If the selected region cannot connect, stop the current connection and wait briefly for the client to return to a disconnected state. Then try another route in the same or a nearby region. Do not repeatedly import the same configuration into multiple clients; if it has already been imported successfully, update the subscription or switch routes instead.

Some apps establish an old session before you connect. Even after switching routes, the page may continue using the previous network result. Close and reopen the app, or try a new browser window. A page loading only confirms that the connection is available; next, check the exit region to make sure traffic is actually using the selected route.

Final Checks

Confirm That the Connection Is Active

Keep the client connected and reopen the website or app you need. First check that the page loads normally, then verify that account sign-in, images, and ongoing requests remain stable. If the client says Connected but the target page still reflects the previous state, close and reopen it so cached results do not affect the test.

Next, use a trusted IP lookup page to check the exit region. It should match the route selected in the client. City-level data may differ between databases, but the country or region should not be completely different. If the previous exit region still appears, confirm that the current configuration is enabled and check whether other network tools are running at the same time.

Do not test just one page during verification. Open a browser, a regular productivity tool, or a service that needs a long-lived connection and confirm that each works as expected. If one app fails while others work, it usually has an old session or the client is using split tunneling. Restart the app first, then check whether its split-tunneling rules include that program.

If verification still fails after switching routes, note the system, client message, selected region, and step where the problem occurred, then submit a ticket through the user panel. Do not paste the full subscription or your password into the ticket. For a systematic explanation of route types, data usage, and troubleshooting, read the cross-border network selection and usage guide.

Completion Criteria

The client shows Connected, the target service loads normally, and the exit region matches the selected route. Once these conditions are met, the initial setup is complete.
